unlocked att moto x 2014 isnt working on tmobile

Does anyone know how to get a unlocked att moto x 2014 to work on tmobile. I can make calls but cant make texts or receive calls oer texts. T mobile recommended i sell it and get a diffrent phone. Can someone help please?? Im in NJ so i guess thats metro coverage ???

Voice and text go over the same route, so call tech support, not customer service. If you have problems with group texts or pictures in texts, that's a different matter.

Sorry i ment tech support said it after customer service transfered me. He checked my apn settings and couldnt figure out why the 4g disappears after 5 mins.

Odd problem, if you can make calls, the network is allowing your phone to register, so you should be able to receive calls too.

Texts require the right SMSC number which the SIM should update, though sometimes that chokes with branded handsets.

You should be able to be find the SMSC number on the Internet or T-Mo should be able to give it to you. You can then program it yourself by using the 4G Switcher app and entering it in the SMSC field and hitting update.

DATA is odd as if the APN is correct you should be able to access DATA.

Did you get this to work? I couldn't get my ATT Moto X 2nd gen to work at all. It was first working when I had it unlocked for a min but it stopped after I restarted. Voice, data, sms, etc... nothing work.
