Unlocked bootloader!

LOL now the million dollar question for the 'holdouts' are.. Are you going to buy your phone from VZW or wait for Samsung's sanctioned version..

I have splits reasons for going w/ each one

VZW:
Is it truly covered if it breaks? Would they deny me if i had to return the phone and they found out I flashed it?

Samsung:
If I had to RMA it.. how insanely long would it take to get a replacement.

Those are my only criteria...
For me to keep my legacy stuff I have to buy the phone outright.
What do you all think...

I'd go Verizon for the warranty alone. Samsung developer devices only have a 30 day warranty (or until device software is changed, whichever happens first).

PJ: Granted im not full of the dumbs when it comes to flashing.. Im just thinking of a bad scenario where the phone might physically breaks, they send me out a replacement, i send them the broken one and weeks later they say 'hey chief, you flashed your phone, thats a nono.. we're gonna charge you'.

Unfortunately we live in a litigous society.

I will probably tend to lean more towards the VZW store now. I plan on bringing a chick w/ me w/ a killer rack so she can dumb down the sales cronies. I tread dealing with those people.

9/10 times they don't even check.

If you're phone is FUBAR, they'll probably just scrap it entirely.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy SIII running CleanROM 1.0

Assuming you didn't brick the phone by rooting or unlocking the bootloader, you should be fine. The warranty agreement included with the phone does not specifically say your warranty is voided by simply rooting or modifying the software on your phone. It does exclude damage and problems CAUSED BY doing such though.

I see no use in getting the Developers phone now.Actually I wasnt going to get the Dev.phone anyhoo because I feel the locked bootloader was a much as samsungs fault as it was with vzw wanting it locked down.So wasnt going to sell my current S3 to have gotten the Dev. one
Bottom line they are both in it for the money/sales.

Btw the Dev phone was rumored to be starting the pre sales for it on Sept 12 oh well guess they should have started it sooner lol
