Unlocked my Sprint S4 to use on T-Mobile ~ Poor call quality!

After domestic unlock, incoming audio during calls is crackly and echoing and all around unusable. Interestingly, the person on the other side of the line can hear my voice loud and clear.

I found this guide applicable to a G2 to cure the same issue I'm having (crackling, echoing, etc) however I cannot figure out how to enter MSL to disable EVRC_B (not even sure this would apply to S4).

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Android Central! Does it have a VoLTE setting? If so, make sure it's turned off and see if that makes a difference.

Hi there :)

I am running the Lollipop GPE rom. Unfrotunately, I cannot find a HD voice setting or VOlte setting

Not much of a chance, but check it anyway. Install an app like LTE Discovery or SignalCheck Lite and see what your signal strength is. If it's down around -110db, that would be about the worst signal you could use (it should be in the -80 to -90 range) - anything much less (higher negative number) would give you all sorts of weird effects - like Cher supercharged or cracklies.

How did you do it? Can you provide a link? I'm on Lollipop now, if that makes a difference.
