Unlocked Nexus 6 from Verizon on Sprint???

I jumped and bought a refurbished Nexus 6 online with eBay. It is a Verizon base but is "factory unlocked" per the ad.

Can it be used on Sprint if it is unlocked and I swap SIMs or are the carrier technologies not compatible??

I don't see why not as long as it isn't Sim locked.
