Unlocked Note 8 vs Sprint Note 8?

Quick question here:

If I order the unlocked Note 8, will I be unable to use Wifi-calling and VOLTE (both are called calling plus now)?

Alternatively, If I get the Sprint version, can it be unlocked and used elsewhere?

Also, is the general consensus that the carrier versions will get updates a bit faster?

Answer to question two yes your paid off then unlocked Sprint device can be used on different carriers, after pay off contact Sprint and request a unlock it usly takes a couple of days they send some code to your phone to unlock it

If you order directly from Samsung, do you even have to wait until it is paid off? I'm just wanting to confirm it can be unlocked. So, T-Mobile branded s8s could not be unlocked, if ordered directly through Samsung, due to some disconnect between the two companies.

Hey Blue, I have the same situation here, I was wondering if u got the answer to your question, is Wifi calling enable?.. and just to throw it out there. Is the unlock version allow you to use Hotspot?. This is a feature sprint ask you to pay for.

I'm interested in this too. On the fence of ordering an unlocked version from best buy.
