Just wondering for anyone that ordered the Note Ultra via Samsung, did you have to get a physical Sprint sim for activation or were you able to use the esim?

What i can tell you i'm on AT&T Got my Note20 Ultra Yesterday , Then i took my simcard out of my AT&T Note10 Plus Then i put it in my Note20 Ultra and there was no network connection kept saying sim something about sim not activated so i took out the one that came with my Note20 Ultra took it out from its card put it in my Note20 Ultra and it was activated didn't have to dial or go on website of AT&T to activate it. Was already Activated out the box, BTW i didn't preorder from Samsung I preordered from AT&T Site

Yea Sprint actual physical SIM cards, you have to contact them to activate it. You can’t just take it out and put it in another device like gsm... I wish we could but nope lol.

If it can be activated by esim like iPhones and pixel devices, then that saves us a trip to the sprint store to get one. But we still have to contact sprint to activate it.

The S10, Note 10+ and Note 20 Ultra 5G use the sim card in the Sprint Universal Sim Kit SIMOLW516TQ. I upgraded from the s10 to the Note 10+ and now upgrading to the Note 20 Ultra. I just buy a new sim card every time. It seems to help so I can deactivate the old device and swap in the new device with the least amount of trouble. My sim card is being delivered today. Amazon carries the kit too.

Which one did you choose. I see alot of listings

I activated mine yesterday on Sprint you need a new sim unless you have a 5G phone already. Once I got the correct sim it took 5 minutes. Only problem is the 5G speed is 1/2 of what I got with 4G for years at the exact same 3 locations. That was not expected.

I was told the sim cards were the same

The same as what ? I had Sprint ship me the correct sim because the one from my S10 would not allow the phone to connect to 5G it would only activate on 4 G LTE. The new sim arrived this morning and in 5 minutes it had a 5G symbol and works fine.

Same as the note 10 and s10

Yeah, I activated it on sprints website without talking to them thankfully. I was also sent a sim after them telling me my note 10+ one wouldn't work, the one I was sent was also the same model already in my note 10+. Lol
