Unlocked Note20 Ultra 5G

Hello;

I am new here its my first post:

I got the U.S unlocked version of the Note20 Ultra mostly cause of the snapdragon processor and i am using it in the middle east, however i have few issues:

1. 5G is not listed in the network mode i only have GLOBAL, LTE/CDMA and GSM/UMTS.

2. The edge lighting doesn't work i only get notification from SnapChat when screen is on even though i have set it up for 6 different apps.

My brother got the the non US version and he has 5G listed on his network. Both him and i are on the same carrier. Could this be a configuration thing? Will the U.S note 20 Ultra not have 5G outside the U.S. even though unlocked. Another difference is my U.S note20 Ultra doesn't support dual SIM but my brother's does the SIM trays are built differently. I appreciate any support and advice on how to solve the 5G issues. If you got a US version even unlocked they don’t support dual sim. They don’t have an esim option either.

That depends on your carrier.

Gotcha, most likey because your using a US version probably why it's not connecting to 5g , using a US version overseas can be issue just using 4g , I've run into that before , your brother has version for it's region .

Hi and Welcome to the forum.

Did you import the US version to a country outside the US, Canada, China or South Korea? Some of the 5G bands are not available outside those regions and those phones may not support the bands your carrier uses. Also Samsung may region lock a phone so that it doesn't fully work outside its intended area.

This could be the issue you are having.

His is the US version , can't be flashed with international version .
