Unlocked on AT&T VoLTE

Hey there all, is there anyone here who purchased an unlocked device for use on AT&T able to get VoLTE or is that carrier specific which requires the carrier specific Note 10+

I'm on att with unlocked note 10+
If you want that carrier aggression might have to flash to the carrier firmware, some have been doing that.

AT&T is telling me that it all should work out of the box...they are seeing some SIM errors on their end, so they recommend I replace the SIM with the new SIM I received with the phone. Will give that a try.

Give it a try , yes everything works out the box as it works on all 4 carriers, do you get wifi calling?

No and I do not find a mention of it anywhere. Where did you find it?

It's not on mine either, wasn't on my unlocked note also .
You need to flash the Att firmware to get those.

Yeah I'm not worried about that, just want the VoLTE, HD Voice, and to be able to browse the web in LTE while on a call.

I'm sure it's there, just cant toggle it on or off

Nope won’t work. I have both ATT and unlocked. Only way is to get ATT locked version...or flash with ATT firm..etc. I finally just gave up on unlocked. Sending back to Sammy tomorrow.

AT&T is telling me that they do not restrict and that it should work just fine with the unlocked version. I'm hoping the existing SIM card I had just provisioned the phone e incorrectly, I'll know tomorrow when i activate the other SIM. If it still does not work, back to Samsung it goes.

No wifi calling not available on Att unlocked, neither is to toggle lte 4LTE on or off or HD calling.

This contradicts what AT&T is telling, though I'm not doubting you...what would be the point of getting an unlocked phone then when key features are disabled? Really hoping the new SIM provisions the phone correctly.

Att to blame for this as they not enabling it, my other sim tmobile has all this on unlocked phone.

This is exactly the difference between buying unlocked vs carrier locked, the key features. Only way to get them is by getting the phone carrier locked, I don't know if they've changed their stand about this recently, but they used to be exactly the 1st telco to "punish" people that went with unlocked phones. A family member has a unlocked s9+ for almost a year and still don't have these features active.

This happens with every release and it's always the same answer. No, AT&T will not fully support unlocked devices with all their Network specific features. Their customer service reps will always try to help you but fail because those are the ones that don't know any better. Yes, unlocked Pixels and iPhones have HD Voice. It's whatever agreement they have with the carriers that allow this. I have AT&T branded devices and there still is no toggle for HDVoice. It's just enabled by default so is it enabled on unlocked models, who knows. But If carrier specific features is what you want then never buy unlocked unless you're savvy with installing firmware.

They'll work to make calls and connect to the internet and stuff, but carrier specific features they'll not support, such as hd voice and wifi calling, lte while on a call etc, only on iPhones and according to other comments here looks like also on pixels. My s8+ had a toggle for HD voice and wifi calling, my s10+ AT&T branded doesn't have a toogle for HD voice but it does work since the difference is there while speaking with people with AT&T phones and people that don't.

So will unlocked note 10 plus get hd voice (volte) on att prepaid? Mine reverts to hspa when on calls. Yet my A51 stays on LTE. I realize its a newer release, but I saw a att page that shows the u1 models should get hd voice.
