Unlocked S6 / S6e delayed 5.1.1 update

I've got a unlocked international/ UK Ireland S6e, and I'm wondering what's going on with these updates. With most manufacturers they usually update the unlocked devices first then the network locked devices. But Samsung seems to have gone the opposite way this time around. It must be very disappointing for people who've bought the device outright to be left on the bottom of the list when it comes to getting the latest updates.
So why had this changed?
Has anyone in the UK, Ireland, Europe received the 5.1.1 update to their unlocked devices? If not, are you disappointed to be left waiting?

I have an unlocked, non-carrier, international version (925F) that I got a few days ago.
It updated to 5.1.1 immediately, right out of the box, as part of the initial setup.

Yes, however the phone was not on a carrier then. I was just on WiFi, had not installed a SIM yet.

I did try removing the sim, rebooting and checking again without success. Maybe this week...
