Unlocked S8 Freezes every 7 days

My US unlocked S8 freezes every Sunday and shows the AOD screen. Sounds weird, but it's like "I've run flawlessly for 7 days, let me **** off this guy now."

The phone is running the June update and security patch.

I thought that it could be because of the Skype chat that I do every Sunday, so I did that on another day, but the phone still froze only on a Sunday.

Has anyone else been facing this weird issue?

Can you describe what exactly you mean by "freezing"?

Only thing that rings a bell when you mention that it "freezes" exactly every 7 days is the Auto restart option in Settings- General Management - Reset, so check if you have that on and check the schedule date and time and see if it coincide with your issue.

That's not enabled. I've got a reply on S8 G+ community from another person whose phone freeze up(hangs) every 4 days. Samsung replaced the phone for him under warranty. I might have to send mine in as well

What's a soft reset? If its power + vol down combo then that's what I have to do each time the phone freezes up

Then best is hard reset and don't backup anything but contacts... And start as fresh

Yeah, will try that. No other option left. Don't want to send the phone in as I don't have a spare phone
