I'm blown away that the unlocked version is getting updated timely. Was not the case with the unlocked s7.

Return your locked one and buy an unlocked one... I think that's the only way if you want to get the updates from Samsung.

My S8 running the 950U1 ROM is receiving the update too. Is Samsung really out of their minds lol

If comment meant the US unlocked variant then just FYI, this is the first time Samsung has pushed an update before the US carriers. The unlocked US variant was always the last for updates.

I'm in the UK unlocked s8 and just got the update today, June patch and also can now hide​ the navigation bar at the bottom if I want to.

I'm on an Unlocked S8+ on T-Mobile but my device was purchased as a Verizon model and I just got the update too! I was uncertain if I'd get ANY updates or who they would come from but it appears I'll be getting them direct from Samsung. Jury is still out if this is good or bad, but so far so good.
