Unlocked US variant updates

What gives with these only being on the September 1 patch? I thought they would be getting updates much faster. Does anyone know? I wonder if Nougat will be delayed too?

Depends on the region. Europe versions are likely to get the first Nougat release, and if it's anything like it's been so far, T-Mobile's version won't be far behind.
