Has anyone gotten an unlocked LG V30 and used this on Verizon? Have been patiently waiting for Verizon to drop the price on the V30 without all the extra B.S. it sells with it, like having to go to unlimited plan or giving so much off, but only if you do a payment plan for the full 2 years. I am just wanting to buy this phone outright without paying $840.
I see that the unlocked version for the V30 has had some price reductions here and there and really just considering if I bought an unlocked V30 if it would be worth going this route? I am guessing that some functions will not work like HD calling and maybe WiFi calling. I am also guessing I will not get Verizon updates, but will the unlocked version get the necessary security updates and an update to Oreo in a timely manner? Will the unlocked version have all of the Verizon bands and utilize the LTE 4G networks as well?
I have always bought my phones through Verizon, so I really don't have a good take on whether or not an unlocked phone on Verizon will work well or be supported well enough through LG with updates? Anyone out there go this route with the V30? Thanks, Matt.
