Unlocked Verizon M7. still on 4.4.2

Hi guys,
I've decided to try what Android is all about and bought Unlocked Verizon HTC M7 recently.
Android version 4.4.2 is installed on the device but I've read that Verizon updated it to Lollipop back in 2015 I guess. Unfortunately, my phone still says that the software is up to date.
Am I missing anything?
Can't it be updated to lollipop OFFICIALLY?

Ok, this place is dead, i suppose

It appears that the phone has to be on Verizon's network in order to get the update to Lollipop.
