Unlocked?

I see the phone listed as "unlocked" on Amazon but it still had AT&T's bloatware installed, which seems odd to me. Is there anyway to get this unlocked without AT&T's crap taking up space?

It's listed as unlocked meaning you can take it to most other carriers. In the case of the S7 Active, that device is only made for AT&T, so the only ROM for it has all of AT&T's bloatware on it.

If u buy it outright like the seller probably did u can get an unlock code in 24 hours if u request it. They most likely entered the code in the phone to unlock it and put it back in the box. That way u can use it on tmobile etc.

I bought mine out right and got the unlock code. Worked fine on my wife t mobile SIM.

means it is CARRIER or SIM unlocked, ie use it with T-mobile or other GSM carrier worldwide. Bought 5 outright, all SIM unlocked, one for myself, one for my folks, 3 for friends and family abroad who would appreciate it.

It would sell rather well in Europe; i have already been asked to get several more and unlock them, but i dont want to rock the boat with AT&T (i possess two grandfathered unlimited data plans). I told AT&T manager i wanted spares as i was going abroad to film (which is true) hence multiple units, and multiple unlock requests.

if i did NOT have the unlimited data plan, my bill would hover around $650-800 a month sometimes; i work in film and advertising, so constantly streaming or downloading and screencasting HUGE files. AT&T has always been accommodating and fair, so i try to reciprocate and be respectful.

I unlocked it and used Package Disabler Pro to get rid of the bloat.

same; while you cant uninstall them, package disabler pro (samsung) is well worth it. besides with 200gb and 256gb microSD cards, worrying about onboard storage isnt really an issue, and if it is, you can always adopt the microsd to internal storage.
