Unlocking pattern on a Oneplus 9 pro via Laptop

I have an Oneplus 9 pro. I can see the screen and what is going on, but it does not react to touch. It randomly selects stuff, including suddenly starting the SOS alarm, so I remove the sim-card and had to let the battery dry out.
Probably the screen and not a virus or?

Charging it a bit again, and while holding for the mic and at occasions turning down the volume, I have at the same time tried to unlock my pattern via an USB adapter and a mouse, and yes I get a pointer I can move and select on the phone, but I cannot draw the full pattern with 4 dots before the phone itself randomly do something, so the pattern gets interrupted.

I am not so skilled with ADB via Laptop, but at first try it does not look like there is a connection.

I assume USB debugging have been cancelled after it have been restarted.

Is there a way I can access and unlock my phone like via my laptop, so I can get some data before I sent it for repair?

Do you have a screen protector on? If so, the first step would be to take it off, because sometimes a poorly-functioning protector can lead to phantom touches.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to get around it -- the screen has to be unlocked if you're going to try accessing the data on the phone, and if the random activity keeps interrupting the unlock attempt, then you're stuck. BTW, this is much more likely to be a glitch or hardware failure, rather than a virus.

crap, I recall from somewhere that you can write the code for the pattern via ADB command prompt, I forgot where I read it, but then I guess I need USB debugging turned on first anyway?

Otherwise I will need to practice drawing the pattern extremely fast with the mouse

You can try to connect a wired mouse and/or keyboard. That way you can manipulate what's on screen (BT ones won't work unless they've been paired with the device previously)

OP is already trying the USB mouse -- the problem is that before they can finish the unlock pattern, something glitchy happens to interrupt it.

I was just thinking is there a way that I can cast the screen to my laptop, without the USB debugging issue? Since I have touch screen on my laptop perhaps I could draw the pattern fast enough on my laptop screen.

I don't believe mirroring or casting the screen would allow you to use the touchscreen functionality on the display you're casting to, unfortunately.
