Unlocking the SIM

I got this phone for my dad because he likes using a blackberry keyboard and he travels a lot. I was wondering if any one has had Sprint Unlock the sim card for non US gsm networks.

After reading some other post it seems that the Moto Xprt is already unlocked for overseas networks. I should have done more searching prior to posting. Please delete this post.

Do you know the code to unlock for US networks??? I want this phone so bad but I'm under contract with T-mobile, and I don't want to pay an additional $40 just to be able to use it! Please help!
