Hi, I'm new to the forum and this is my first post here.
I'm Charles from Tennessee and I have a Nexus 7 that I bought around 2013.
It was 'Tablet of the Year' at that time and has worked perfectly till last night.

The issue is that it is unresponsive, and displays "Google" on the screen.
I can get to the recovery screen by holding down the pwr and vol down buttons, but none of the choices there actually work except power down.

I've turned it off, plugged in the charger, and see the battery icon indicating almost fully charged.

What else can I tell you to help find the root cause of this problem?

TIA,
Charles

Welcome to the forums. Hard to say what might be wrong. I personally think the storage chip has some kind of fault with it. The downside is the chip is soldered on, and could be difficult to swap out.

@Charles,
Your device has had a good run and is probably shot, but you could try reloading the firmware from scratch if a Factory Reset (which is one of the options in Recovery mode) didn't pan out.
