Hello,

I have done the UnrEVOked method to get simple root (only really want to manipulate battery life and *maybe* do a wireless tether). I don't really want to do the full root and ROM as I'm actually very happy with the EVO. I would just like to pull more battery out of it (I also use it as my main media device - music...some movies), other than that I am very happy.

I did the unrEVOke. Seemed successful. Installed the Overclockwidget (goal is to do what was seen here http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-evo-4g/16799-battery-life-huge-boost-rooted-evos.html). It all seems good again...except my battery seems to be draining faster than normal.

An I realize I don't know the "Settings" to adjust in "advanced settings". Or do I just do the main "setting" that pops up. My main goal here it to get the clock to slow when it is off (more UNDERclock than OVERclock).

I saw that there is a setting that says DIFFER FREQ SCREEN OFF in advanced settings. Do I do something with that too?

What do I do to get the phone to not drop much while it is "off". That would be my biggest goal here. But right now it seems to drop 1-2% every time I turn it on (just checking it every 15 minutes or so). Not "doing anything" just turning it on and checking battery.

Any help?

Thanks a ton.

I can't get the overclockwidget to do anything on my Evo. Even when I put restrictive limits into the widget, the System Panel app show the cpu varying above and below those limits. The Evo already varies cpu clock based on load.

If your battery is dropping continuously when off, you need to figure out what's running to drain the battery. Install the System Panel and Spare Parts apps, and see what's actually using cpu and the battery. Without info, you're just shooting in the dark.
