I had used unrevoked. I waited for the Unrevoked team to modify the latest update. I applied the update. This morning I had to wipe the phone. I had thought the SU was placed with the UNREVOKED2. It did not work... I panicked a little and though of a solution.

Place the file su permissions on the SD card. using HBOOT and Recovery. I was able to load the ZIP file and re-establish SU permissions and run Titanium backup.

I hope this is clear....

i think the SU will also show if u flash a rom since it should be built into that

I'm just not going to apply the update. My phone works fine as is.

Exactly. If the menu scroll is fast enough for you and your screen works, then the OTA was a downgrade, removing wallpapers and the stock launcher. Do you remember what happened to Sony when they tried to remove Linux access from PS3's that had shipped with it working? Lawyers! You don't sell stuff, and then start disabling features remotely.
