Unroot Hero?

Ok,

I've been running the rooted leaked 2.1 ROM for a while now and while I love it I've decided that for me I need to go back to the stock ROM until 2.1 is officially released for my Hero. How does one go about "unrooting" a Hero?

root and flash. lately i've been getting more force closes than i used to and for some reason my phone won't start up on the first try if i power cycle it. plus being lazy i hate hitting an extra button to fire up the battle.net authenticator so i can play wow.

ok, i have gotten the RUU to see the phone once. but the phone wouldn't boot into the boot loader once. since then i haven't been able to get the RUU to see the phone

yeah, thats the problem with that method.... plus you can brick your phone
if you want true unroot, there's another way
if you want 1.5, the easiest way is to flash a 1.5 ROM (like Gumbo 1.5c)

Ill head to my other computer where I have the other way bookmarked.

if you want true unroot, there's another way
if you want 1.5, the easiest way is to flash a 1.5 ROM (like Gumbo 1.5c)

also found out i had the wrong RUU

at this point, i want a true unroot & 1.5 rom due to being lazy and force close issues (i hate having to wait that extra 30 sec to log into wow).

hmm, could apps2sd have been the cause of my problems? i've re-flashed 2.1 w/o that and it works fine.

Yeah, that could be it... if you didn't delete the sd:ext partition or if you used apps2sd 2.5, that definitely could have been it.

i wiped it out, but i had used the app. made a new smaller ext3 partition on my sd card this time and i haven't used the app. working fine so far
