Hey Guys, I recently rooted my Prime, and I am loving it. However, I found a dead pixel on it today, and now I need to bring it to Best Buy for an exchange. Doesn anyone know how to unroot it? Does doing a factory reset unroot it? Will the guys at Best Buy even notice or care? Thanks for any help you can give me.

P.S.
I'm on the latest OTA firmware, 8.8.3.33. Thanks again.

How did you root it before? I'm not too familiar with rooting android just yet, but the viperMOD root way has a handy file that does everything for you. You just double-click it, and a menu in cmd asks you to press 1 to root, 2 to unroot, and 3 to close the window. http://vipermod.tiamat-dev.com/

Yeah, that's how I rooted, but the unroot method isn't working for me. Unless I'm doing something wrong.

Problem solved, just needed to uninstall superuser. Thanks

!wouldn't that leave root still? Just not the ability to give certain apps root permission? If I was you, I'd try to to install super user again and see if it is still rooted. Unless you just want to remove evidence of it being rooted?

Btw i could be absolutely wrong and just disregard if i am.

Well, I unrooting using viperMod app worked, I just had to delete superuser from my system file. I did try reinstalling superuser, and it didn't work. So I a good officially unrooted. Thanks for the input though.
