Unroot

Hi, I rooted my phone with oneclick 2.5.5, now I need to unroot so I can take it in and have the screen fixed. reading it sounds like the oneclick should uninstall itself if you run the bat file again after it's been rooted. I have tried several times and I don't think it worked. I still see the superuser and can go into it.

I cleared the superuser log files then ran the bat file and still same thing.

since it's just going in for a screen fix I didn't really want to flash all the way back and lose everything.

thanks

(maybe I should use something like titanium and back it up as is, flash back, get it fixed, then restore it?)

Maybe use mybackup to store your apps, Odin it back to EC05, and when you get the phone back root & restore via mybackup.
I believe the CWM text is green if the phone is unrooted. do the 3-press boot & see what color your text is.
I think:
-Green = unrooted
-Blue = rooted 2.5xx
-Orange = rooted 3.xx
-----------------
I only recommend Odin'ing back to EC05 because you don't want them to see anything referring to EXT4. If so, they may say that you voided your warranty. JMO

I have green text. I guess I was assuming it wasn't unrooted because the superuser icon was still there and I couldn't get rid of it. I am downloading the mybackup app now. hopefully they can fix it tomorrow and I can put it back quickly

thanks

Taz,

Your correct, I would make your backups with Titanium or MyBackup Root and then use Odin to return to stock EC05. There is one other optional way on EC05 ONLY to return to complete stock and I will provide the link below.

Link below, first procedure will give you the option to Odin back to stock EC05 everything wiped/reset.
[How to] Factory Restore (or Fix a Bricked Phone)

Link below, read/download the files needed and place them on your sdcard and flash them in CWM. It will give you the option to remove CWM and replace it with the stock Android recovery and appear as if you never rooted the device.

[ROM][STOCK]ReRFS Format Stock ROM EC05

Just make sure since they will probably end up replacing the device that you backup your sdcard to your computer and format it before you take it in so they see no signs of "clockworkmod" folder or Titanium Backup/MyBackup Root's folders on your sdcard showing that you have rooted your device. I don't see them looking, but why have a problem you don't need when it takes a few minutes to backup your sdcard/format and then you can replace the sdcard files once your back in action with your device fixed.

Blue text = stock Android recovery
Green text = CWM 2.5.1.0
Orange text = CWM 3.0.0.5/6
