Hi all,

I've successfully unrooted in order to return the phone for a replacement but I'm still seeing the superuser permissions app.

My method for unrooting was opening up terminal on my phone and using this code:

Code:
su
rm -r /system/app/Superuser.apk
rm -r /system/xbin/busybox
rm -r /system/bin/su

Now it all worked fine and dandy except it was unable to find Superuser.apk

I'm on Tmobile with the Samsung Vibrant

Can you do an ls on that directory and see the app? Should list all the files in that directory. Maybe its already deleted.

Well... you can't remove it cause you don't have root access... You need to have root access to mount the /system/ file to make it read/write capable. How did you manage to unroot and leave those behind?

i also have done this and it isn't that superuser.apk wasn't deleted, it just stays in the app folder even though you removed it. You are no longer root for some reason, but the app won't delete. I would also really like to just get rid of it because for me rooting was not too beneficial.
