Unrooted stock GB w/s-off to CM7.2RC

At the moment, I'm running stock unrooted GB. (4.08.605.2) I'd like to try out the new Cyanogenmod 7.2 RC. I still have S-Off set, so if I understand things correctly, I should still be able to flash unsigned files. I need some guidance, though. I'm not sure how to regain root, and flash clockworkmod recovery in my current configuration. Is it as simple as just flashing CWM recovery renamed to PB31IMG.zip and then flashing Cyanogenmod through CWM recovery? Or do I need my current ROM rooted first?

Any help appreciated.

Flash it in HBOOT and then you can download and flash CM7 - Be sure you do a backup first!

Thanks! It worked. Just wanted to make sure. I'm not quite ready to replace a brick just yet.
