Please help, i promise never to do it again
Thanks in advance,Brian

The XDA Developers site seems to be down at the moment, but you need to find a post there to the effect of "How to completely remove Voodoo lagfix".

Just keep checking the site and when it's back up, go to the Fascinate forum for Android Development and it should be on the first page.

Once you've removed Voodoo, then you can restore a stock kernel and ROM.

If you have Clockwork recovery installed, your best bet would be to download the Clockwork backup from this post, put it on your SD card and flash it with CW: http://forum.androidcentral.com/fascinate-roms-hacks/38029-how-escape-force-close-loop-hell.html

That'll return you to a stock ROM with only SU and SuperUser.apk installed, rooted, but otherwise completely stock.

Not sure how you installed your kernel, but to restore the stock kernel, you'll have to use Odin and flash the stock kernel from this post: http://forum.androidcentral.com/fascinate-roms-hacks/34819-how-go-back-stock.html

But, before you do ANYTHING, you need to disable/remove the Voodoo lagfix, otherwise you'll just make things far, far worse.

And just to say... this seems to be yet another example of why Voodoo should be avoided like the plague. Nothing but trouble.

tell me about!! it just got worse. i tried restoring to an earlier rom and now when i start up the phone i get a ton of "the application has stopped unexpectedly. please try again" Force Close" and then freezes. i see a nice peddle outside that i can drop it in LOL. What do you think?

Sounds like you need to follow the steps in the How to Escape the Force Close Loop of Hell thread. Don't beat yourself up for rooting. Your problems can be solved without much hassle. I too believe most of your problems were a result of voodoo. When you get yourself back up and running, don't be afraid to play around some more with launchers/roms, just stay away from voodoo.

Thanks so much, that worked but now i have new problem. My internal memory shows 0kb and it wont let me download .any suggestions?

That's Voodoo. Follow the links in my second post. The first one is more of an automated disable, it's supposed to remove the lagfix if it finds a certain file on your SD card... supposed to...

If that doesn't work, you'll have to follow the second link to manually, and completely, remove it. Hopefully the first one will work for 'ya because this one is more involved.

In either case, all the instructions are in those posts. I've stayed away from Voodoo, so I have no first hand experience with removing it, but I've looked through the instructions and it's all spelled out in those posts.
