Unrooting HTC Vivid

Hi, I'm sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but I couldn't find anything pertaining to my exact problem.

After my phone has been on for a couple of hours, the unlock screen will freeze. It doesn't show any icons on the very top bar, doesn't load any images, and of course can't be unlocked. Only restarting the phone seems to help with this. I'm not very tech savvy with phones, but I did look around online for a solution or probable cause, and it looks like rooting may be the issue. I recently rooted the device to use Screenshot UX Trial. I tried turning the app off (within the app itself, thought this might unroot it as well) and uninstalling it, but it still runs, and my device remains rooted. I know there are a few articles on unrooting the HTC Vivid, but they all require you to have rooted your device in a specific way, or to have a PC. I do have a Macbook Pro.

This screen freezing is unacceptable. Does anyone know a way to unroot my phone and fix this? Thanks.

Download a VM. Download the HTC Vivid RUU. Install HTC Drivers. Run RUU. ?????? Profit.

Or even, just borrow a friend's PC and just install the HTC Drivers and HTC Vivid RUU.
