UOT Kitchen Help

I am using the mobster rom on my phone. When ever I try to cook something in the kitchen it never applies anything.

I have extracted framework-res.apk and systemUI.apk from the root of the phone. I have tried mounting the /system and /data from recovery menu still nothing will stick.

I keep selecting the Optimus in the UOT kitchen when I goto compile it, I am going to just try the generic and see if that works or if anyone has any tips how to make it work this is my first time themeing and just need a little help. I will also post when finished so people can profit from a blue screen slider

Ok I got it working. In case anyone else needs help this is what I did.

I reinstalled the mobster rom since I had put someones custom theme on it. After first boot I used ES file explorer to grab framework-res.apk and systemUI.apk

I then did all my themeing in UOT and uploaded the apk's. I used a generic installer instead of the Optimus option and made sure to set the res to mdpi (320x480)

Everything worked except the network strength bar but I am sure it was just something I did wrong.

As soon as I am done I will post a new thread as well as post a link on here with screen shots of the theme :-D

The network signal doesn't work automatically, you have to decompile the new system-ui.apk and change the names of the system bar icons so that they are named the same as the stock rom's.

I forgot what to name them (Haven't touched my slider in months) but you should just compile both Mobster rom system-ui apk and make a note of what the signal bar icons are named and change the themed signal icons as such.

It's a big hassle, but it'll become faster after you do it more.

THANK YOU!!!!!! I have no problem with it being a hassle as long as I know I am looking in the right place :-D I will try until I find it. If you happen to remember let me know or I will just post it when I find it just to have it on the board
