This post is for users having 3g connection issues where the connection is being lost all together for long periods of time... After talking to CS for two days without a direct answer or solution, I decided to go to the store and the Supervisor and a number of employees verified two things that I thought was happening..

1. At the time I was in store 2 employees and the manager was without data on their devices so their is no doubt that it is a know issue.

I was told that there seems to be outages of 3G services in several cities over the weekend, at least 30 level 2 service tickets been issued over the weekend and they are working on the outages.

2. THIS IS THE IMPORTANT ONE FOR KC USERS....
Kansas City is suppose to finally see 4G some time in November and this most likely is one of the reasons KC has been up and down data and some has been reporting 4G in a number of areas..

Figured this is information worth sharing...

What part of the country are you in?

I was experiencing some 3G problems yesterday morning/early afternoon in central Ohio, an hour north of Columbus. (No 4G here)

I put it into airplane mode, turned the radio on and off a few times (still said connection failed) and it eventually kicked back on.

My friend in Hilliard had the same problem. So you're definitely not alone.

Im in Kansas City but the manager showed me the computer records of the number of outages that covered a number of areas, this is why I figured this was information that needed to be shared because from the records there isn't just one area effected..

Here is a slight update that may shed some light:

I ran into an old friend today and he works for Verizon. I asked him about the possible outage here and he said it's due to them adjusting the towers for 4G. So it's now supposed to be here by December. (Originally I was told July followed by September)

Hopefully that all works out. I never expected 4G to be here since I live in a small town.
