update device service?

In my running services i have something running called "update device" it got started by com.redbend.vdmc it just came up today and has been active for 6 hours. Anybody know what it is or what it does?

Strange you mention it, I noticed that started running on mine yesterday. I don't think it's anything too exciting because it's been up for over 30 hours.

Same here. Restarted my phone, it took a while to reboot, but nothing actually changed as far as I can tell. The same "update" program started again when I restarted.

I noticed it in catlog. Maybe have something too do with preparing too push ICS OTA.
