update galaxy s5 to lollipop at&t

My galaxy s5 is from at&t g900a and is unlocked with metro. I am on 4.4.2 and want to update to 5.0. I have found the ota file to update via external sd for 5.0 but i need to be on 4.4.4, does anyone have the rom file for 4.4.4 or anyway for me to update to 4.4.4, or any advice to get it updated? I do not want to root either. Thanks! Please help i really want the update

You could always flash the correct firmware using Odin: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...w-flash-stock-rom-via-odin-new-interface.html. This does not require root. Find the correct firmware here: Firmwares - SamMobile. It shouldn't matter what Android version you're on right now.

The other option is to buy a cheap prepaid AT&T SIM and plug that in. Then check for system updates--since the phone would be back on the AT&T network, it should find the system update OTA and install it.

Exactly on the above. I gave my mom my AT&T S4 for straight talk. The update looks for the model number and an active SIM.

I'm on AT&T and lollipop works great for me. I believe my battery life has increased since the switch from kit kat. No regrets here.

5.0, 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 have a memory leak. If you're the kind who doesn't restart the phone for weeks at a time, they'll give you a problem. (It was fixed in 5.1.) If you restart regularly, the AT&T S5 Lollipop seems to be fairly stable.

I think all Best Buy stores have this now. I always update there instead of at home, much quicker.

I had lollipop on my AT&T S5 and it ran much better, battery was better. I put it off for a couple of weeks because I was rooted, but it worked out great for me. Can't speak for others.
