Update notification

I keep getting this update notification but when I click to update it says I've the latest version. Does anyone know why I keep getting this notification? It's getting annoying.

I'd say it's a security update your carrier is pushing out. We got the 1st of September update in South Africa this morning. I see that you are still on the May version.

Try to update from settings>security >scroll to update. Then try updating again.

Have tried that several times with the phone telling me my device is up to date. Also my device is carrier free.
