Update on wifi while in odck

[AC Question]

Virgin Mobile S3 , I am trying to get my S3 to update what ever it needs to update while in it's Samsung dock. Preferably at night while I"m asleep.

I read and tried an app called tasker. Tasker was way, way above my head. My phone is basically as is except for the app
I've already got it set for "update on on wifi" it's update over night or while in dock that's the problem

1) Tasker has nothing to do with updating, unless you have a task that's turning wifi off.

2) The phone will update to whatever VM sends you - whenever they send it. From the time they start sending out an update until the time the last phone gets it can be a few months.
