update problems

So my brother has a MAXX (I have an X) and he received the update that was released today. After the update, he's having some problems with some file management servers for his work. I looked at his status and it says this. On 4G or WiFi, the phone claims to not have data access (regular internet still works fine) and it says install deferred although clearly it updated since it has the white icons. Does anyone have any ideas as what to do? He doesn't wanna do a factory reset although he will if he has to but I'm not sure if that's a good idea since the update isnt fully installed?

Thanks guys for any help

There really seems to be a problem with Moto's servers - at least I think that's what it is. Keep deferring the update; hopefully it's back up and running on Monday. I let my phone update when I got the notification that it was ready last night and all went well.

One last thing to try is to wipe the cache partition (this will not lose any data or apps, but the update gets downloaded to cache, so this should wipe any incomplete download.) See https://motorola-global-portal.cust...wer_detail/a_id/93895/p/30,6720,8697/kw/cache

Tried wiping the cache still no dice. However we just noticed this ..at loss of what to do. Does anyone think a factory reset will help?

I had the same issue. Waited and tried it later and it worked.

I suspect it's a Razr Maxx HD, which I think is getting KItKat.
