Update to 2.1 without a PC

Is there anyway to update my wife's Sprint Hero to 2.1 without having a PC? We only have a Mac.

Is there anyway to update my wife's Sprint Hero to 2.1 without having a PC? We only have a Mac.

You can follow my tutorial how to root the phone on a mac and then flash a 2.1 ROM. Otherwise, the official RUU (Radio Unit Upgrade) is only given to sprint as a .exe program and therefore needs a Windows PC.

You can always use virtual box. This will allow you to run Windows on your mac.

You might also want to call the place that you bought the phone. They might be able to do it for you.
