Update to Lollipop from Kies or OTA?

Hello,

What is the safest....best way to upgrade to Lollipop? Going thru Kies or OTA (with WiFi on). I just received my notice on my S5 from Verizon to update the software. Thanks.

I agree with the above poster Verizon's update has a few bug. stick with 4.4.4 for the moment. if you do decide to update - afterwards clear your cache or do just a straight up factory reset. You can do either - update through samsung kies or over a good wifi connection I believe kies would be faster.

I have two choices with this update.......1. Install OR 2. Install later. I chose install later but that only gives me the option to chose what hour you want to install it. I really want to stay with 4.4.4 but I soon won't have a choice. I also was thinking of doing the update thru Kies.

Members here have found ways to get around the update but it is a real run around it seems. Search the threads lower down and you'll see what I mean. If you do update just make sure to do the cache clear afterwards and if things really slow down you may have to do a factory data reset to get back on track. YMMV.
Make a backup first if you do have to go to the factory reset way.

Choose to install later. Select a time when your phone will be off. Repeat each day until you want to have the update
