Update to "O" ?

Rumors have the "O" OS update coming to the Pixel/XLs fairly soon. Is it possible to stop the phone from updating to "O"?

Just curious...pretty happy with "N" and have learned that newer is not always better.

Yes you will get a notification about the update and can always refuse the update.

Thanks -have a Pixel and bought an XL with the Google deal and thought it might be interesting to keep one on the "N" OS, for awhile anyway.

Android "O" is apparently slated to drop on the 21st to coincide with the solar eclipse. You need to move to "O". This is a higher sign from the universe!

Well said - well put - I love signs from the universe - will move the P and Pxl to "O" asap - far be it from me to annoy the universe.

ETA - talk about the "higher sign of the universe" - XL arrived at 11:19 AM, Spigen case arrived at 11:21 AM - wasn't supposed to be until 2 days from now - don't ever mess with the universe -

I've been running the beta. I like Android 8. The first beta had some incompatible apps but when the apps updated the problems went away and it's run fine for me. The last version hasn't had a single glitch for me. If it matters, I don't play games on my phone so that's a major area that I know nothing about.

It works as normal. I've used it a couple of times on DP4.
