update unrooted phone

well i installed the update for the atrix that was pushed out on Marh 25. it did fix a few issue with the phone but it unrooted the phone and now i can not root it using onclick or aroot.

youll probably have to wait until a new rooting method is discovered. sometimes the old methods work on the new updates, and sometimes they dont

You could always flash the retail SBF and then root but you will lose the fixes that the Beta OTA offers.

Yuppers, that's what I did. I'm back to using 4.1.52. It works fine as far as I'm concerned. Sure it would be great to have better bluetooth integration, and sure it would be great to have all the other little fixes, but not at the expense of root access. No thank you.

You can flash 1.26, root, use the script to retain root when updating, update to 1.57, and then reroot with 1.57.

That's what I did. Search for gladroot on xda.
