Did anyone get the update that's supposed to fix the refresh rate on the s21 series?

BUKG rolling out in Germany without the December security patch and they're saying it does not fix the lag issue. I guess with the S22 just around the corner maybe they expect you to just buy a new phone, lol.

The refresh rate bug reportedly does not affect the international models on the Exynos chipset...

"Curiously, the bug only seems to affect S21 devices using Qualcomm Snapdragon SOCs, as owners of S21s running Samsung's own Exynos chips have not reported any such issues."

Source... androidcentral

I have not had any issue with the refresh rate on either the BUK8 or BUKG Android 12 updates and there are no reports of such on the Samsung European user forums.

I found a number of Exynos users complaining about the stutter/lag on Exynos models too. This is just one, but there are more.

"European S21 Ultra verison here, same lag but doesn't seem to come from the refreshrate ( it's stable and not hectic ), but the whole UI is riddled with lag and stutter, from the "pinch" main menu for selecting themes and widgets to all the animations, EVERYTHING has a stutter unless you open/swipe a milion times till it loads. Seems like a ram management/cpu core management issue where it's not utilised as needed ( Android 11 didn't have this, or atleast rare ). I have Android 12 for not even an 1h and it's horrible... wish i didn't update. Also the the right top corner is getting insanely hot after the update just by scrolling pages! ( 3 months old phone )>"

That's a 9 day old, pre BUKG bugfix release, post and does not relate to the Snapdragon screen refresh rate. Only been on the new BUKG for a day since release and so far it has performed well and is very battery friendly.

Update has finished and all appears well again. It seems to be smooth scrolling at 120hz and not chopping back and forth.
