Any news on a update for the SG3? An update needs to hurry up and come out ASAP. I've realized lots of bugs came with the phone.

No official dates, no official builds.

I suggest you subscribe to the leading Android news editorials (Android Central, for example) for up-to-date info.

Take it back for a replacement then, I haven't had a single issue with my S3. Which is awesome considering the crap I got with the Galaxy Nexus... ;)

This phone does not need an update..As a matter of fact I will probably not even update it if they allow me to keep what I have..This is the best phone ever made.

Got a refurb in mint condition, after suffering from dropped calls. A huge improvement.

They're probably cr@pping their pants now due to the bootloader being unlocked lol.

I'll lay you odds that the bootloader issue will delay any JB OTA update that Verizon would have done. They'll want to plug the hole that's being used to unlock the bootloader and add it to their update. It'll take more time . . . but that's just a guess on my part.

I agree with you mine works like a champ I had the nexus and Verizon cdma was crap and ruined nexus on cdma

I can tell you my phone shuts down itself at least 3 times a day. I will randomly reach in my pocket to check it and it's off. FRUSTRATING. Especially because other than this major issue I love the phone.

I would definitely get a replacement. I've had zero issues with mine and haven't seen this in any of the forums.

I wouldn't take it that far. Its a good product but the software needs some tweaking.

You are probably right. They are determined to completley cripple the device for reasons only known to them.

You need to get it replaced then. You got a bad one. Before I went to custom roms my g nexus would reboot randomly a few times a day. But that was a known issue that many people mentioned in the forums for that phone. This is the first time I've seen anyone mention the s iii randomly shutting off. Take it back.

Bugs? Can you list them?
The only flaw I can find is called TouchWiz, and I suspect it will still be there.

I suspect that any 'warts' in the software will be included in any updates.

Got a new one today. The phone was shutting down as I walked into Verizon. Manager asked me what was wrong - then went and told the next rep to go ahead with the exchange. No questions asked.
