Overall :) :) :) :)

If you like silicone cases this one is great!!! I am not a big fan of silicone cases so most of this review is based on my wife?s comments as it is on her phone.

FIT: Great. It is very snug but not overly tight. It has all of the appropriate cut outs for the top and bottom mic, speakers, and jacks. The volume and power button are covered and there is a raised area on the case which denotes their location. I have found that it does not impede their functions like some silicone cases that tend to have a little play in them. I was also surprised how hard the silicone was compared to similar cases. It makes the case very easy to slip in and out of your pocket. It does not cling like other similar cases do.

FINISH: Very Good. My wife had no complaints. However being very OCD I did. Like all silicone cases of this style they are made from a 2 piece manufacturing process. Where the pieces fuse together there is a seam which drives me crazy. On this case the seam is subtle and not sharp like I have seen on other models. My wife did not even notice until I pointed it out so I would say it wound not bother 95% of the population but it is why it did not get 5 androids.

Drop Protection: Good. It seems more resilient than many silicone cases out there. If it took a small tumble out of your pocket on to the floor the case should take most of the impact and bounce the phone a little with no real damage.

Scratch Protection: Very Good. Obviously you will not get any scratches on the phone where the case is. There is also a few mm lip that extends beyond the screen so you can set the phone on its face without any fear of scratching the glass. There is no actual glass protection but add your favorite screen protector and you are set.

Overall: If you are looking for a silicone case this is better than most. I would recommend it.

SGP Samsung Galaxy S2 ATT Case Ultra Thin Air Series - GALAXY S2 [AT&T] - Samsung - Cell Phones

Overall :) :) :) :-\ (3.5)

If you are looking for a very thin very sexy case to enhance the looks of your phone and don?t need a lot of actual protection this case is for you.

FIT: Good. The case just snaps right on to the phone. It is marketed as the AT&T version of the SGS2 but I question that they did not just slap a new title on the international version case. The top mic hole is partially covered (about 50% of it) but it is easy to take a piece of sandpaper and a credit card and make a little notch so no big deal. There is also a random hole above the volume button that does not seem to serve any purpose. The cutouts for the power and volume buttons do not make them difficult to press like some cases do. My biggest complaint is the case seems about .5 mm to big in every dimension. It still fits snug but it makes the case creek if you squeeze it or hold the phone too tightly.

FINISH: Great. This is a very sexy case. It looks like it was meant to be part of the phone and the gloss finish, which I was not sure about at first, makes it feel like I am talking on a Ferrari. I have seen the youtube review about the finger print problems and they are not nearly as bad as the video makes it out to be. Unless you are standing under studio lighting all day it prints less than the glass. As far as finish goes it does not get any better than this.

Drop Protection: Fair. It will give you better protection than no case and if you drop it on the cement I would think it would do better than protective film but from any height I expect the case to take the initial impact then either break or pop off and go flying. The top and bottom are totally open except for the corners but they are recessed so it should offer some protection. The top right corner is also exposed (apparently this is where the antenna is) but it is also recessed so you would have to drop it just right to do any damage.

Scratch Protection: Fair. Anywhere the case covers is well protected so sliding it across the dinner table is not a problem however after reading drop protection you realize there are some bare spots on the top or bottom. Unlike other reviews I have read the case does extend (almost microscopically) past the front of the phone so if you set it on its face you should be covered as long as you do it gently and don?t put any pressure on it while you are face down. The case alone only offers fair protection, what could have put this in the good category is that is comes with a screen protector unfortunately I could not get the bubbles out of it and it ended up in the garbage. I have installed many screen protectors in my time and have never had difficulties like I did with this one. It was also supposed to come with 2 screen protectors but I only received one. A replacement is on the way and if I have better luck I will update this review.

Misc: The first case I received has a chip missing in the bottom corner. I can see how this could happen since the case is very thin. I simply took a picture of the defect and e-mailed customer service and a new case was sent to me no questions asked.

Overall: If you are looking for a case that delivers big on looks and do not need a lot of protection this may be the case for you. It is what I have on my phone (for now).

Re: 2 case reviews as promised

I believe the cutout above the volume rocker is for the lanyard on the international version.

Now that I have received my replacement case from SGP I found a trick that works well. If you take the grip stickers that are meant for the outside of the case and put them on the inside of the case walls the phone is much more snug and fits like it should. I am a happy camper with my Ultra Thin except for the crappy screen protector.

^The left side hole is for phone charms where International version has a place for the phone charm but AT&T model doesn't.

In light of this, would you give the SGP Ultra-thin more than 3 stars for Fit now?

Yes...I would give it 4.5 stars. Still not perfect but much improved. Put it this way... I am OCD as they come and I can live with the little creak that occasionally sneaks through.
