updated but forgot pin

Hey all.
I've been using my fingerprint on the note 5 but since marshmallow makes you use a backup password I chose the pin. Needless to say I forgot the pin. Now I can't access smart lock and other stuff like that. Incant reset cuz it asks for a pin. Ugh suggestions?

If you're ok with a factory reset, then do it using the hardware buttons: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-23202. After the reset, you'll be prompted to enter the username and password of the Google account that's currently on the phone, as part of the factory reset protection feature. Then you can set the phone back up again. Next time, if you're prone to forgetting important things like PINs and passwords, write it down and keep it somewhere at home that's secure, like a safe.
