I searched and cant find a remedy.

After the update to android 11 opera phone calls are always on speaker and cant be turned off.

Weird glitch that I didn't notice right away because I usually have an earbud.

I have an unbranded 7pro although I am on Tmobile.
Going to try this...Thank you!

Yep I had the same problem. Same fix worked. I'm really getting more disappointed with this update by the day. I'm about to add a new line and I've been looking at the 8T since it came out and I'll probably make it my daily driver and finally root the 7 Pro just so I can roll back. Even the minor devs on XDA could put out less buggy ROMs than this.

What other problems are you having with this update? I'd recommend you to wipe cache from Recovery and leave the phone charging overnight.

Text messages, email notifications are sporadic. I can't wipe just the cache in recovery, because I am on stock. I'm going to give it a few days, but if the problems persist I'll have to bite the bullet and factory reset.

There are two different ways to get into Recovery on stock. You can use a combination of Power + Volume or, my favourite, enable Advanced Reboot in the Developer Options.

About the notifications, make sure those apps are not optimised in the battery settings.

Oh wait! Do you have the T-Mobile model with the original ROM? Those options are only available on International/European builds.

Yeah T-Mobile stock. I really wish there was the cache wipe option. I have 3C toolbox Pro and it can do a pretty good job. I restarted it this morning and it caught up on about 30 notifications and has run fairly well since. I'm about to get the 8t, since they have it for half off when you add a line. I really like the 7 Pro, but I'm liking the flat screen and I absolutely love the color.

Got another update, fixed the phone call problem. Battery life is much better as well. I'm happy with my phone again.
