I recently got my replacement moment (4th in 6 months) and I'm trying to root it. I followed the guide to loading windows 7 drivers, worked good and I could transfer files to my sd card. I used the samsung update tool and all was fine and dandy until it needed to detect the phone. It refused to connect, no matter how long I let it sit or how many times I reconnected it. I have rooted my previous moments with this same computer before, so I know it should work.
My only possible conclusion is that since I have the D106 update, I can't connect to the update tool?????? I'm not sure.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I figured maybe I should try getting back to D03, but I can't figure out how without connecting to the update tool
