Updates

I am experiencing what seems a vastly increased volume and frequency of app updates. Anyone else seeing this?

There seems to have been a slew of updates to various Google apps recently. Some of it is probably due to some significant changes made to certain apps (like UI refreshes for Google Play Music and Google Play Newsstand). What kind of frequency are you seeing?

Average about 8 a day

That might not be unusual. Are you still getting that many a day, and are they the same apps getting updated? If so, try going to Setting>Apps, select Google Play Store, then Storage, and then Clear Cache/Clear Data.
