Updates

Its sad that OEM's are crapping out phones like a third world country afflicted with cholera. Today's Premium Flagship is soon forgotten. Used to be about two years now its down to less than a year. So much damn fragmentation. All they want to do now is sell more phones but no desire to support the ones they sell.

Instead of software updates to improve battery life and function, or improve the camera features, they put out new phones with incremental improvements instead. You want better battery life? Sure, buy the next model that comes out. Its battery is likely to be 250mAh larger. You want a better camera? the next model will have one more megapixel.

Ugggghhhhhh! so damn frustrated. steps down and trips from soapbox.

And if you hold onto your phone too long after the release of the new version you lose too much trying to sell it. If you know you're going upgrade it may pay to sell it first and use a backup

This is from a spanish forum (HTCmanía, user T-RoR), for the 990SD model or something like that.
