Hi everyone!

I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question. I am currently on a stock rooted version of 4.1.1, and I finally got some time to update to 4.2.2. I was wondering if anyone could help with me out with the easiest way to get a rooted version of 4.2.2. I've looked through the root guides, but couldn't find anything that I understood. Thanks so much in advance for any help you can give me.

You are looking for a ROM that runs 4.2.2?
If yes, I recommend that you Google JBSourcery. It is a really great and very customizable ROM.

I'm assuming you are in the correct forum, therefore I have to agree with VW Maverick, Sprint has not yet released the stock 4.2.2 update. They are currently still supporting 4.2.1 and who knows if & when they will update. JB Sourcery is a nice ROM and is active with their updates. I don't think it's possible to actually use ALL the custom "features" they add into it. You can get it here.
