Updating from ice cream to jelly bean with problems

Hi All,
After updating from ice cream to jelly bean (4.0.4 to 4.1.2) on my sony TX, the back ground color of the contacts is faded white with thin black font, however it should be black background with white text.
how to get things back in order please?

This could be due to something in the OS update that may not be changeable
