Updating Moto G 1st Gen to Lollipop

I hear that a lot of people are getting/have gotten the Lollipop update for the 1st gen Moto G... But I've gone through the device settings trying to find the update, but I'm stuck at 4.4.4, my phone is always, "up to date." How can I get Lollipop on my phone, maybe via my computer?

I'm using Moto E (2015) 2nd Gen....it came with Lollipop.....but I noticed when the last system update came thro' to 5.0.2....it was only offered when the battery was fully charged 100%.....it seemed to trigger the offering......So now I always fully charge the phone before checking for system updates.
It was a Sim free phone so the updates come from Motorola not the network provider. Hope the info is of some use.....

My phone also came without the SIM... I'll try charging the phone up and see what happens.

I can't seem to find any update release notes for Moto G 1st Gen.....only 2nd and 3rd Gen.....maybe you'll have better luck.

Oh well, not working for me. It's not a big deal, I'll be upgrading to the 2015 Moto G soon anyway. Thanks for your help
