Upgrade date/contract end date changed

Since Verizon changed their contract time periods and upgrade system today has anyone else seen that their upgrade and contract end date has been moved way past what it originally was before all this happened? I was originally supposed to have an upgrade this December (bought the GNex the day it came out so 24 months later it should be December again) and now my upgrade date has been moved all the way back to April 2014. Is this "normal" f-you customer behavior now from Verizon or did they mess up.

Also second question, now because they moved my contract end date would this be grounds for a void of contract on their part and allow me to leave them without paying any early termination fees? And if so, which provider is the best to move to? I am thinking of AT&T (don't care about coverage since each major network provides LTE in my area).

Is it grounds? Probably not. You sign away a lot of your rights. Would they waive the ETF if you put up enough of a fight? I can see that.

According to Verizon, this is not a change in terms of service as upgrade information isn't in the terms of service

My whole thing is this. If Veizon changes the contract then wouldn't that make it null and void? They changed things and modified so as to better suit them. Without notifying customers and explaining everything. New contracts would be affected and not old ones, correct?

What Verizon is saying is that upgrade eligibility information is not in the contract. See the attachment in my post above for the exact wording. So they can make the change, without affecting the contract.

And it does affect new and existing contracts (if you have an upgrade date on or after 9/1/13).

This. They are not going to admit it was a contract change, but if you make enough noise, they will probably let you out without paying ETF. Ya gotta makes some noise, though through repeated calls.

If you have unlimited data, stream netflix until you go over 100GB and call them and see if they will let you out of your contract; I bet they will, lol!

If you are using 100gb, you probably don't want to leave unlimited unthrottled 4GLTE.

I have a lot of issues with the legal side of what they're saying. Mainly--it doesn't matter. It still affects your contractual relationship with Big Red.

I agree, I was just joking since I can't imagine wanting to get out of an unlimited data plan. Sell it if you don't want it.

Those who don't use much data. :)

There are people who must have the latest devices(especially htc or Nexus as of late), if so, then Verizon isn't for them.

It just depends on one's priorities.
